I've spent a bit of time away, finding old writings and drawings, and I'll be moving them over here in due time. For now, I have a new illustration I completed Tuesday night. I hope you like it, because I'm unbelievably happy with it.

Prior to this, I've just done scribbles, drawings of faces, head and shoulders drawings, etc, but this is the first time in a long time I've drawn more than just a face framed by a nice hairstyle.

I guess it is true, it's like riding a bicycle - You never do forget how to do it. I'm just glad I took some time on this, and I seem to have improved given the long break I've taken.

Hopefully, this will be the start of some new works, or rediscovering and "remastering" older ones.

Enjoy!

Raider3: Manifests in this universe as a middle-aged male.

Favorite Foods: Japanese cuisine (sushi, sashimi, tempura, teriyaki, etc.), Pizza, seafood (Lucky I'm not allergic to shellfish!), hamburgers, potstickers, most Chinese food, white rice, brown rice, fried chicken (Though it's not really too good for me), fish sticks, salads, most Mexican food, some Italian food, I could go on...

Occupation: Just another automated-sounding voice on the phone. (I am NOT a telemarketer - I work in customer service.)

Favorite Pet: Smitty, my 14 year old Ginger Tabby kitty.

Anime/Manga Fan: Yes, for over half my life. (Way too many favorites to list - I like Osamu Tezuka's work, primarily Black Jack. I also like Kenichi Sonoda's "Gunsmith Cats" series, I like the original Macross series (As well as Southern Cross and Genesis Climber Mospeada), among my top picks.)

Sci-Fi: The "classics" - Star Wars, Star Trek (TOS, Next Generation, past and current movies), Battlestar Galactica (the original series), V (both miniseries and the TV series), trying to broaden my horizons on the book front (Mageworlds saga by Debra Doyle and James D. MacDonald), Orson Scott Card's "Ender's Game" series, various Ray Bradbury books, the list goes on.

TV: I like watching "Medium" (Shut up already - Mom and I watch it together.)

Movies: If it's in the James Bond series, or directed by Quentin Tarantino, Paul Thomas Anderson, Kevin Smith, Robert Rodriguez, John Hughes (early work prior to Home Alone), or a musical (Singing In The Rain, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Annie, Repo!, Phantom Of The Paradise, Jesus Christ Superstar, etc.) features Malcolm McDowell, George Carlin, Jimmy Stewart, or is a guilty pleasure from the 1970s, 1980s, or something most likely to be shown on Turner Classic Movies -- Bring it on!! (Too much stuff to list.)

Cosplay: Yes, primarily "old school" costumes - My favorites are Black Jack (My signature costume) and Porco Rosso (I got stopped every 5 feet for a picture.)

Vanity: Living in denial about turning 40, I resolved long ago to never act my age, and seek to lose weight, improve my looks, and hold on to a youthful appearance for as long as possible. I think the "Narcissist" switch got triggered on my last birthday. ^_^;

I am a "Jack-of-all-trades" - I've dabbled in illustration, music, costumes (design/sewing), web server administration/HTML wrangling/Just about anything that can be installed under Linux/Apache/PHP/MySQL that I can figure out and use, I even taught myself how to prepare sashimi and sushi. I'm not an expert in any field, but I keep trying, and that's what counts.

Obviously, I really love to write. I have a LiveJournal (Permanent account!) and blogs on my own web server, as well as presences on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Flickr, and who knows where else.

Yeah, I occasionally draw, I used to draw a lot in the 1990s and early 2000s. I'm trying to get back into it.
